ABOUT TOMAS KRUZLIAK

Inspired by my family back home in Slovakia, I have always been a designer and creator at heart. I grew up around a culture of relatives accustomed to working with their hands, always repurposing or crafting something we needed or desired. My interest in woodworking grew back in college. I was a collegiate hammer thrower, and once I finished competing, I funneled my dedication and drive for my sport toward creative avenues including baking and spoon carving. After working as a pastry and sous chef for several years, I decided to devote all my working hours to custom woodworking. What began as a hobby of spoon carving and furnishing my family’s first home turned into a love of making gifts for family and friends. My hobby grew into selling smaller items such as cutting boards and knife handles and eventually designing and crafting custom doors, cabinets, and various furniture along with restoration of antique furniture and interior woodworking.

My clients are quick to share with me that I keen eye for visualizing the transformation of unprocessed, raw materials into a gleaming final product that is functional and serves a purpose. While I enjoy repeat builds, deep down I am driven by the challenge of a one-of-a-kind product; I find most gratification in the custom aspect of my work.

I reside and work in Muncie, Indiana with my young family. When I am not working on my latest project, I enjoy spending time cooking and baking with and for my family and friends, gardening, traveling to see loved ones around the country and overseas, and dreaming up the next house project.

Thank you for spending a few moments getting to know me. We appreciate your support of our small business.
